How to make the perfect protein pancake

FlapJacked’s high-protein pancakes cook a little differently than regular pancakes, so here are 4 quick tips to help you make the perfect protein pancake.

FlapJacked Pancake and Baking Mix

1 Let the batter settle

Mix thoroughly with the listed amount of water and then wait a few minutes before pouring the batter on the griddle. The whey protein isolate needs time to work its magic :)

2 Don't over-grease the pan

We've found a light hint of cooking spray works best for protein pancakes and prevents them from sticking.

3 Cook on low heat and be patient

Otherwise you run the risk of burning the outside and undercooking the inside. Remember, "slow and low" baby!

4 Find your sweet spot

Too thick, too thin or a little dry? Just tweak the amount of water you're adding to find your personal protein pancake sweet spot.

This may sound like a lot to remember, but after a time or two you’ll become the ultimate protein pancake chef! Have any other questions about FlapJacked Protein Pancakes? Check out our FAQs :)
