Lunchbox Waffle Sliders

We believe lunch ––and all meals for that matter–– should be not only be nutritious and delicious, but a little bit of fun too, especially for the kiddos. And, what could be more fun than some waffle sliders? These are quick, easy-to-make and the options are endless. From PB&J, to your classic turkey and cheese, maybe even a pizza inspired take, these little waffles are the perfect base for the slider of your little one’s dreams.

INGREDIENTS

WAFFLE NUTRITION

    • Serving Size:   4 mini waffles (makes 2 sliders)
    • Servings:   2
    • Calories:   200 (per serving)
    • Fat:   3.5g (per serving)
    • Carbs:   23g (per serving)
    • Fiber:   5g (per serving)
    • Sugar:   6g (per serving)
    • Protein:   20g (per serving)

DIRECTIONS

  • Whisk 1 cup of mix, 1 egg and 1/2 cup cold water until well blended.
  • Let sit for 3 minutes while waffle iron heats up. Batter thickens as it sits.
  • Cook according to your waffle iron instructions. Makes about 4 mini waffles (2 sliders). For more sliders, simply double the recipe.
  • Fill sliders with your choice of spread, meat, cheese, etc...ENJOY!
