Cheddar & Herb Buttermilk Biscuits

There's a certain restaurant that is known for making mouth-watering, addictive Cheddar & Herb Biscuits. Since we can easily put away 2 or 3 of these a piece, we wanted to make our own lower calorie, protein-packed version.

FlapJacked Cheddar & Herb Buttermilk Biscuits Recipe

 

INGREDIENTS
2 cups FlapJacked Buttermilk Protein Pancake mix
1/2 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp parsley
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 cup water
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/2 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese

INSTRUCTIONS
Pre-heat oven to 400˚. In a bowl, combine FlapJacked mix, onion powder, oregano, parsley and baking powder and mix together. Add water to the bowl and mix with a spoon. Add butter and stir again (batter will be very thick). Add in cheese and stir again. Scoop out 1/4 cup amount of batter and place onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Form into the shape of a biscuit. (If batter is too sticky to handle, dip fingertips in a little bit of water and continue.) Repeat until you have 8 biscuits formed. Place in the oven and cook for 8 minutes or until edges of each biscuit are golden brown. ENJOY!
