Meet The FlapJacked Team: Diane (Office Manager)

Our team members are so much more than just dedicated FlapJacked supporters. We are proud to have a company comprised of parents, athletes and outdoor enthusiasts, all who share a passion for health, wellness and exercise.

We want to give you an inside look at our team, so each month we'll bring you a special Q&A with one of our members. First up, meet Diane!

Diane - Office Manager

Q: What are 3 interesting facts about you?
A: I was the head coach for special olympics in my hometown for several years. I grew up on a farm in Waco Nebraska with 5 brothers and a sister. I've been married for 20 years.

Q: What's your favorite way to spend the day outside of work? 
A: With my family - whether on a hike or going to lacrosse games or whatever, we always enjoy our time together. 

Q: What is your stance on health and wellness in this day and age?
A: You cannot do one without the other - if you exercise, you must eat well. Most important - you should always take the initiative where your health and wellness is concerned. No one can do it but you.

Q: What's your favorite part about living in Colorado?
A: On any given day there is so much that anyone can do in our state. You are never bored!

Q: Do you have any hobbies or quirky interests?
A:  I love horticulture and wish I had more time to devote to it. I miss having a huge garden! Whenever we are out and about, I'm always noticing different plants and varieties.

Q: What's your best FlapJacked memory?
Last year the entire team went on a day hike in the Rocky Mountain National Park. It rained on us, but we all enjoyed the day. 

Q: What's your favorite FlapJacked product?
A: My favorite right now is the Oatmeal Protein Cookie and Baking Mix because there’s so many options. I love adding stuff to the cookies like white chocolate chips and cranberries, or chocolate chip and pecans as well as butterscotch chips. I also make mug cookies with the mix. Take ¼ cup of our oatmeal cookie mix, 2 tablespoons butter, 2 tablespoons of milk. Melt the butter in the mug, add the milk and stir in mix. Then microwave for 1 min, let cool, and enjoy!

Q: What's your go-to FlapJacked hack? 
A: My favorite hack is adding mini chocolate chips into the Protein Pancake & Baking Mix. It’s one of my family’s favorite weekend breakfasts and it makes the kids feel like they’re eating a treat not healthy pancakes ;).
